Hello,
I am getting married in Nov. 12 , 2005 , and it is not your usual wedding , I am wanting to get married in a black and tourquise dress while my man is wanting to wear western attire , I am getting married in a state park in florida , and it is going to be outdoors , and I wanted to know , is it horrible to get married in black for the bride ? I mean the groom does why can we not ? well if you can help please do I am worried I made a bad mistake on my dress , but it looks good on me and my mom wants to wear navy close to black , I am guessing that will be fine , well if you can tell me what and why people are telling me you need to not get married in black , but it is not only black it is black and tourquise , or teal , in color , well Please Help !

How would you feel if the trendy bridal bouquet of the season consisted of bunches of garlic, herbs and grains? The concept is only as far-fetched as the days of our earliest ancestors. During ancient times, almost anything was thought to be a sign of doom. To protect herself from such threats, a bride-to-be would carry an assortment of strong-smelling herbs to ward off evil. On her wedding day, she would then adorn her dress and veil with herbal amulets. But the bouquets of olden days weren¹t solely a means of protection. Some brides would lace their bouquets with dill, which was believed to promote desire. After the ceremony, the dill would be eaten for that purpose. Luckily, the trends of wedding flowers have changed throughout the centuries. Eventually, the custom evolved and flowers became the preferred charm for deflecting evil. Read on
